Daniel Glenn Padgett – Dying Dial

The thing that I felt most was the yearning, the melodic avenues for such a mood are probably underused but Daniel Glenn Padgett appears to have captured something Grandaddy here and it reminded me of them circa ‘Under The Western Freeway’. ‘Dying Dial’ does appear to have plenty strings to it bow too, gaining a swagger as it progressed without ever losing the crucial thread of melancholy. The whole episode is quite life affirming, against the odds we were riding high on the crest of a euphoric wave of broken romance. Much to look forward to on ‘Ambulette’, the debut from an artist inspired by his time in NYC. KH
