‘Joy’ has such deliciously odd arrangement and one that showed us that this Chicago act was going to be for us. If off-kilter shuffles or maybe a touch of ambient mood enchancing is your thing then you’ll just love the Stina Nordamstamesque singing which is both introspective and a leader of people. Eclectic to a fault and awash with childlike wonder before it just ended, but it didn’t really because this is just the start of our love affair with Tenci. KH
