Dutch artist Robin Kester chose the somewhat creepy surrounds of an abandoned sanitarium to commit her songs to tape. And you know what there is a something of a dissonance here, not quite emptiness though due to that climb to the brightside in the chorus. In fact it goes further, tying up the hollowed build and amassing a birds in the trees wonder. And it worked through the prism of a Star Trek theme (original series) reconstruction. ‘Remove and Delete’ is undeniably oddball but we all need a little of that in our lives. KH
