Anthemic alright, the kind of tune that could only have come from a 90’s indie-rock upbringing such is the focus on big bold riffs. Pretty singing and dedicated lo-fi production all enhance that feeling of hearing a piece of nostalgia in a modern setting. My interest truly peaked however when the chorus emerged, somewhat unexpectedly it must be said but splendidly operating from a turbo Fleetwood Mac ‘Tango in the Night’ perspective. A Welsh act to treasure, where there’s Kidsmoke there’s fire it seems. KH
