‘Arrowheads or Worse’ is determinedly lo-fi but that is part of the reason we love it so much. Can hardly catch a word but there is something being said here that transcends random collections of letters. It makes for a salivating porthole into Joshua Powell’s new record, ‘Psycho/Tropic’, which won’t see the light of day (at least on streaming services) until early 2019. On this evidence it is one to look forward to as ‘Arrowheads or Worse’ weaves its magic subtly but ever so convincingly. KH
