The People's Revolutionary Choir – Do You Feel Like I Do?

Despite being feted by both the Brian Jonestown Massacre and the Jesus & Mary Chain the People’s Revolutionary Choir decided to call it a day earlier this year. Brave new sonic endeavour would never have been a tagline you’d associate with the London collective but I’m going to miss their psychedelic fuelled numbers. ‘Do You Feel Like I Do?’ may be souped up like a Cortina with no engine but given a decent sound system and an eager crowd it could quite easily fit into the perfect Friday night playlist. Guitars spiral wildly out of control while vocals swoop and glide over the din in an transparent gesture of hedonistic behaviour. Yep, it’s obvious but I’m tired and my ears need something meaty to chew over. KD
