‘Snow Moving’ is tribal at first, but then you realise that maybe these boys just want to rock in ways not yet dreamt up. Certainly feels like a new way of doing things, post post-rock if you like. There are some elements of math-rock drifting in too and I could have sworn I heard Slint on several occasions. It rummages, it agitates and makes a fantastic argument for itself without uttering a word. Individualism being shown here (inspired by a NYC snow storm) by Will Graefe and Jeremy Gustin who will get you even if you don’t get them. KH
