‘I’ve Been Workin’ is a sprightly summer number with all manner of bright dashes and a yearning nostalgic feel. Luke Top (formerly of tropical hotshots Fool’s Gold) adds to the sense of being out at sea with friends and soaking up the rays on deck. The drinks are flowing and the fun times are a happening. Not many tunes can recreate such happiness, allied to the fact that it takes a skilled operator to bring the Beach Boys to the new century. KH
