wwoman – FOA

Reminded me of Furniture from the 80’s and their ‘Brilliant Mind’ classic. There is a cut and a dash about it, the way the beats just sync with the Stereolabism of the vocals. With the enigmatic Gi Smee directing proceedings ‘FOA’ appears to hold back, like Talk Talk used to do, doing more than enough to sweep you off our feet as scattered beats and hypnotic bass bounce around like brightly coloured ping pong balls. Me, I am lying prostrate on the floor. KH
