Ben Browning – Even Though

With the season that’s in it and those rays appearing from a high point in the sky we need a soundtrack that recalls OMD (or latterly the Tough Alliance) and other 80’s greats. And Australia’s Ben Browning seems capable of it all as well as flights of synth fancy that go someway to destabilising the whole thing on occasion. But it is those harmonies that shine through, but then you’d expect nothing less from the Cut Copy man. ‘Even Though’ seems so natural and organic with Beach Boys splashes, a rarity worth applauding.
