Such a fresh faced kind of tune, vocals from Anna McCarthy as clear as can be but then they’re immersed in a high voltage charge of chords. It is an exciting listen, with vestiges of Veruca Salt and the Breeders to a certain extent but what is most impressive is the grandiose production which means ‘Like A Girl’ just hits you like a ton of bricks. A rarified racket then, I just love the 90’s aesthetic and all conceived on the west coast of Clare. KH
