Given the theme it’s probably not surprising that the spacey swirls here are integral to the piece. The real joy in ‘1000 Moons’ however is how the sound of a human voice trumps everything amid the eerie atmosphere of a gravity free galaxy. Those slow burning dreamy scenes would surely come into their own as a soundtrack, experimenting as it goes and finally giving us an opportunity to hear how the heart sounds operating at full throttle. This wonder from the London based Jess Molteno Murray will stoke the imagination, much like Bjork does and there are plenty of similarities between both artists. It is all so subtle, so much so that as if by stealth your heart will be stolen. KH
