‘Strawberry Milk’ is as languid as they come, all pretty jangle like a slow jam that infers that the real treats are on their way. And boy is the listeners patience rewarded as a quieter form of the Strokes appears (they are also from NYC), all aloof and cool and bringing with them a basket of harmonies courtesy of Kristof Denis delivery. This tune is positively horizontal in its approach but it is still a ravishing experience for fans of slacker rock. KH
