This is so unashamedly 90’s indie sounding I kind of hoped it was something that I had missed from way back then. As it turned out it was the product of a Washington band called Dot Dash from a mere couple of years ago. So no prizes for originality and though it is a tad slight it is impossible to turn away something so resplendent in the dynamics of a real life song with bridge and chorus no less. It hangs together loosely, whether by design or default, and hence is suitably perfect for a summer’s day despite being culled from an album called ‘Winter Garden Light’. KD
