‘New Wings’ is a union of Canadian and German minds and one we hope marks the beginning of a very fruitful partnership. Typically the pair involved, Villa Kang and Hazy Mountains, have internet profiles that would test the forensic skills of some of the world’s greatest minds but for the moment we are willing to ditch such petty annoyances in favour of a long soak in this slow jangling rumble. It impressed from the getgo, displaying admirable production values for a construct that spent much of its early life dashing back and forth across the Atlantic. KD
