What a grand pocket orchestra this is from way out down Brighton way. Sam McGarrigle is the chap in charge and he has gotten mixed up with a label we could well fall in love called The Sound of Sweet Nothing for the release of his ‘Teen Jamz’ EP. By the looks of it the record has been embraced by everyone with a passing interest in music/html/bloggerating so forgive my behind the crowdisms. ‘We’re Awake Tonight’ doesn’t really apologise for the noise it makes, instead opting for inclusion so that interested parties are welcome to bang pots/pans/heads together in an euphoric assault of the senses. It’s got retro in its loins so it’ll be interesting to hear what McGarrigle’s next offspring sounds like. KD
