Hooray For Earth’s ‘Surrounded By Your Friends’ sounds like it could have emerged during that fallow period in the 80’s when electro tuneage ruled the world. They are certainly around long enough to remember such movements for Hooray For Earth have been conspiring to record music since the last century. It wasn’t until 2005 however that they officially became what they are now and this summer will see their second LP ‘True Loves’ appear on Dovecote Records. This is from last year’s ‘Momo’ EP and is hard to fault, all summery and tropical it could enhance any gathering from gap year students to euro commissioners. KD
