It appears that Austin’s Unbearables are no more, perhaps they just got sick of waiting for Sufjan to complete his tour of America or more likely it was the 6 years together that made it intolerable. Regardless they’ve caught the ear of at least one someone from faraway shores so sleep can be easy. This is a incorrigible little number, feisty and full of shunty melodious asides. Perhaps their aim was to throw the kitchen sink at it but then there is a pleasing lightness of being to proceedings. Your output is bound to feel a little claustrophobic anyway when there are nine members trying to get in on the action. I’d imagine stage time was quite the squeeze. KD
