Now this could get interesting and for a change the action switches to the English capital. I know, hard to believe isn’t it, a band to get excited about that doesn’t come from Brooklyn or Pittsburgh. For the most part Male Bonding use their debut ‘Nothing Hurts’ to be loud and though not altogether abrasive they could well frighten unsuspecting sorts. For those hooked on genuine thrills though there is a veritable feast of goodies to be discovered, like when Idlewild thought nothing of leaving 100 broken windows in their wake. It all smells of something that has existed before but Male Bonding have ingeniously tacked on their own unique aroma. David Gedge meet Kurt Cobain meet Roddy Woomble meet James Johnson, it’s time for some serious male bonding. KD
