The minimum you’d expect of Bria Keely’s Better Joy is something to jolt us into action and ‘Quiet Thing’, despite the title, is another statement of intention from this endlessly illuminating act. Again we are spirited back to a time when indie-rock felt vital, bubbling under before it releases its incandescent energy at a chorus that feels like summer festival anthemic that’ll whip the cider swelling hoards into instant action. Reminded me of Sharon Van Etten, yep it really is that good. KH
