Maybe it is my memory that is slipping but I don’t think I’ve heard Henry Taylour in such ebullient form and it suits the folkster. With beats flailing all around we are grounded by his sense of decorum and by the sounds of it a bucketful of regret. ‘A Relentless Pursuit of Happiness’ has the ring of a Belle & Sebastian title and the music follows suit, I wouldn’t have been surprised if it had appeared on ‘If You’re Feeling Sinister’ – all Stuart Murdoch like = and you know what that means, yes we will be this track’s presence for years to come.
