Mountaintop Junkshop – Holy Hell

‘Holy Hell’ initially reminded me of something from the sixties and then like the soundtrack from a spaghetti western to leave this Leicester troupe working in circles that might be 21st century unconventional but you just cannot deny their way with a tunesome folk song. And that becomes obvious when the two leads offer up chemistry that only the best duos can summon. Does have appeal because in keeping things beyond the expected we feel like we’re being treated to something more tangible than usual. There were parallels with She & Him but only if they had access to scenes from endless gunfights at dawn. KH
