Meagre Martin – In The Room

There is a low-key swagger from Berlin based Meagre Martin and that is something that works ever well when you combine it with Sarah Martin’s voice which sounds all the world like Harriet Wheeler out of the Sundays. I do feel that Meagre Martin have a more experimental bent to their craft so this is no mere lavish recreation for ‘In The Room’ is a living breathing entity able to stand up on its own two feet. A smouldering piece of low-slung indie rock that has vitality running through its molten core. KH
