Terra Twin – Crooked

Felt a most slacker vibe to ‘Crooked’ from London’s Terra Twin and it felt good to be back in the 90’s And crucially with a sound that doesn’t hold back on the barbs but houses it in a rush of indie rock desires. ‘Crooked’ is well capable of ratcheting up the noise but where Terra Twin really make hay is in the laidback moments that have a meditative quality. Of course we are given license to break out periodically when the band flex their muscles and evoke a quiet/loud exchange that has a mightily impressive visceral effect. KH
