It has me on a tropical Jonathan Richman kind of vibe owing to those low-ebbed and jangling chords. But wait there was a whole lot more and it came in the picture perfect indie pop vocals to complete the effect that is undoubtedly twee but so flush with romance it feels perfectly arranged. The mood created is one that is purist indie and with those hints of the Pale Saints and the Apples in Stereo along the way I was in seventh heaven and feeling among my own. What a debut from Portland quartet A Lot of Water. KH
