There is a very big reason why ‘Tired Eyes’ won’t be met with closed ears because of that rare old tradition of gifted songwriting that Georgia’s the Velvet Cab display right the way through this sixties loved up anthem. Yes, it could be Jellyfish or even E.L.O. for the harmonies are sculpted in such a manner as to recall summer in peak midwinter. The harmonies are golden, the chords rocking and the whole enterprise has its heart set on making everyone’s day all the rosier for its presence.
