Black Nielson – Lasso The Moon

Hard to believe that it is a full 15 years since I last wrote about Southampton’a Black Nielson. That can be explained in part because the Southampton artist hasn’t be active in many of those intervening years. But they are back in 2025 and with songs ‘Lasoo The Moon’ filling their lungs and our attendant ears you’d wonder what took them this long. This is melancholy delivered with so much bright spark hope it could give early Grandaddy a run for their money. In other words there is a lush charm to every second of this fragile piece of indie pop. The kind that we’ve always loved. Welcome back Black Nielson! KH
