Dumb Crush – Witches In The Dark

Talk about screeching guitars, bass chords offering a lining for our stomach but the general snarl of Witches in the Dark will not be softened. So Dumb Crush get our attention and in a fashion that is positively old school post-punk in direction. It quite reminded me of U2 at times but you could throw plenty of Cure associations at it. No mind what is most impressive is that they give it socks and pack a tune in there amid all the feedback and air-raid siren degrees of noise. There’s rebellion in the air and we need as much of that as we can get in this safety first world of ours. KH
