There is a virility to those chords, proper searing an impression into our psyche, a bit of Fontaine’s D.C. too insofar as the words crash and burn before our ears and in a fashion that also reminds me a lot of the Fall and the way Mark E. Smith used to sling the mud. The clearing of the decks for something quieter was my favourite sequence – endearing stuff in fact. A riot from this London act who show themselves to have a tender side amid all the punk machinations. KH
