Now there is an elegance to the way London’s Eel Men power through their propulsive mix of chords and words. It makes for a slightly punky piece of rebellion but ‘Pink Ones’ leaves plenty of room for toe tapping it has to be said. Or more pronounced reactions to be precise, namely pogoing on the spot as if we’re in the pit and more inclined to throw ourselves into the moment. All that leads me to believe that Eel Men have captured the essence of the underground spirit here and I intend to down that by the crateload. KH
