Cari Cari – Schmetterling

There’d be something of the 70’s going on here for me, a funk but also a contemporary rhapsody most concentrated on the beats which have drum machine about them. Cari Cari (Stephanie Widmer, Alexander Koeck) keep hitting us consistently over the head with reasons to keep tuned in and I’m talking about what our feet need to do to contend with all that chopping and changing. At this degree of articulation you’d just have to feel as if this Vienna duo have pulled together something art performance into the belly of a Chemical Brothers banger. KH
