Tom O C Wilson – Only Listening (feat. Henri Växby)

Is that the kind we’d need to break us free from day to day convention, I think so because there is a willingness to take a step back from the tried and tested here. Synths from way out in otherworldliness is just the start of this piece of pop frippery, a calm take on the goings-on underneath the surface and put together in a track that has a pleasant ambient aesthetic. It is also up for shaking some sense into us so I felt a certain talking-to happening between all those off-kilter grooves. What a proper charmer from Tom O C Wilson and Henri Växby. KH
