Charm School – Je T’aime (A Quoi Bon)

Loud and heavy as can be and that comes from a triumvirate of sources, beats, chords and bulbous vocals that reek of Mark E. Smith of the Fall. And boy do Charm School sound like great fun as a result because we need behemoths like them to charge down the peace and PC overload of 2024. This is ready to take the establishment apart one brick at a time and what they do with the bricks may indeed involve some damage. There is revolution in the air, make no mistake and it feels like an exciting adventure to be a part of. Hard to believe Andrew Sellers and co from the band used to be folk pop types because ‘Je T’aime (A Quoi Bon)’ sounds the very antithesis of all that mild mannered behaviour. KH
