Mother of Earl – Venomous Snake

Could be that the sixties have swung back into fashion (some Stone Roses ‘Resurrection too), with Mother of Earl at the helm anyway because I was thinking Motown as well as the Killers for some bizarre contrast of motivations. But what is the real revelation here is the wildness of ‘Venomous Snake’, possessing roving eyes full of sparkle and we’re all invited along on their mischievous adventure. Could it be that there is something Clap Your Hands Say Yeah! in there I thought to myself before again kicking off my brogues and dancing like I was the only one in the office. One more written warning and I’ll be jobless but Mother of Earl have made that illustration of self expression worth the risk. KH
