Arctic Parrot – So Over

The echo effects set ‘So Over’ apart but then there is plenty more where that came from. UK act Arctic Parrot certainly have an 80’s electro pop quality and I was reminded of OMD/China Crises among others. That is a very good thing but it doesn’t mean ‘So Over’ doesn’t have both of its gently shifting feet in contemporary times either. The subtlety cannot mask a fine tune, something that houses plenty of yearning but there is no stopping a groove that leaves these minutes open to all sorts of dance remixes. In its current state it does have an off-dancefloor feel to it, a hypnotic consistently that means reruns aplenty. KH
