Seagullmoine – Nothing Flows Nothing Grows

I am a fan of motorik and ‘Stature’ appears that way inclined, busy operating under a steady beat but there is more besides. And it comes in the form of a singer who has a loose and freewheeling quality and that is match by a guitarist who is similarly off the cuff and capable of virtuoso themselves. All sounds ever so artistic, fulsome of ideas and a nuance in their deployment so that ‘Stature’ just bursts with intent. We then find out it is the work of a single person based in Montreal and wonder what it must be like to be able to wield such ecstatic creativity. KH
