Recalculating – Candide Says

It calls around fully armed with riffs that sound like they’ve been crafted over many hours in a garage or basement or heavily fortified bedroom. And that feat of noisy engineering is only replicated in percussion that cuts right to the bone. ‘Candide Says’ is subtle when it chooses to be too with words so perfectly relayed they could have been recorded at a poetry evening. The combined effect makes for a take on ye old punk rock, classic slabs of entertaining posturing but not sounding in the least bit tired to a degree I felt a tear form in both eyes. Yes, we can still have nice things in 2024. KH
