Holysloot – Carousel

It surprises me somewhat that this Dutch act have yet to release a debut album given all the fine singles they have provided us with over the last few years. And ‘Carousel’ is just another example of why the imminent arrival of that LP will be something to behold because Amsterdam’s Holysloot are endlessly capable of matching sucrose melody with the glorious cavalcade of blusterous noise. Comes across as sweet and furious all at once to offer rebellion and romance in a most thunderous of sympathetic packages. KH
