Lonely Richard – Halfway House

There is a low-slung jangle to the piece that most reminded me of Number One Cup, a rarely heard band from yesteryear who I always had a soft spot for. Lonely Richard hit that kind of form on ‘Halfway House’ but where they really get our ears cocked is in offering a little wilder side of themselves into the bargain. So effortlessly 90’s from this LA act, to a degree that it almost hurts and for chief nostalgists like ourselves for that decade the kind of effort to inspire weeping with joy. KH
