LA duo Fake Dad are good darn fun, I mean ‘Crybaby’ has a whole lot going on to distract us from a wearisome day. First you get the giddy playing, a drummer who might have been in Elastica and a singer who plays us all for fools and we do care in the least. Fake Dad could be what every summer music festival need, a new take on the Ting Tings with added movement to spice things up. Yep, this is party central no matter where it spins its never less than ode to joy. Where there’s room for fun this is where you’ll find ‘Crybaby’. KH
