The Silver Abduction – Quarter To Two

There is charm to ‘Quarter To Two’, a nostalgic hit with those synths and of course a singer who has a dreamy chanteuse quality that reminds of something from last century’s indie pop aristocracy. Alvvays have been doing something similar over the last couple of years but there is definitely room for more, especially when St. Etienne are evoked so eloquently, and the Silver Abduction’s (duo Allison Brice and Andy Dragazis) brand of lush production and effervescent ethereal vocals is enough to have us going weak at the knees.
