Emmrose – Tattoo

We first featured English act Emmrose back in 2019 (‘Hopeless Romantics’) and the fact that in 2024 she is still only 20-years-old shows you the talent we are dealing with. And it is her voice that remains so striking all these years later as illustrated on new single ‘Tattoo’, which might have a melancholic romantic tale to impart but boy does it have bristle with an energy that radiates from the speaker. In fact ‘Tattoo’ goes from slightly demure to all out anthemic over the course of just under three minutes of indie-rock narnia. The clarity in the production gives the piece an even more visceral quality while Emmrose stirs the pot and we’re given yet another lesson in the vibrancy of an act on an inexorable rise to the very top.
