Bantams – Mexico, Panama City Beach

I’ve been shirting around the edges of rhapsody when it comes to this duo’s music – always with an eye and ear trained on which track will be the one to truly send us over the edge and into raptures. And this morning ‘Mexico, Panama City Beach’ was the bolter that was just filled with so much vibrancy it needed to have a permanent place in our heart. ‘Mexico, Panama City Beach’ is wild and unperturbed with who it unsettles with its giddy ensemble of frenetic playing and words that appear to have clocked up several dozen energy drinks this past hour. We are pulled this way and that, we even find ourselves inside a way out west saloon bar but most of us the jig inside of us is the purity of finding a band (led by Chris Rathke) we can truly believe in.
