Jasmin OMEARA – Hey Hamlet!

It was Siouxsie & The Banshees that my head went when ‘Hey Hamlet!’ broke the silence that was our early new year. A Montreal singer who has fire and brimstone as her calling card but Jasmin OMEARA is ably backed by a punishing percussive backdrop so ‘Hey Hamlet!’ feels like it is absolutely fuelled with energy and personality. The right kind of talking to, no messing around and straight to the point in a manner that leaves nobody in doubt as to the punk tendencies on show. My god it kicks and we’re on a warning to pull up our socks as a result. KH
