A Band Called Ma – Riot

Has a lovely kind of indie-rock swagger, the kind I thought we had lost to the mists of time with ‘Riot’ turning in a 90’s slacker kind of anthem. So we get chords a chopping and a changing, jangling too and a lead man who can deploy harmony amid the blustering noise. A Band Called Ma glory in the best excesses of alternative rock, blistering peaks that rally time and again but always with an adherence to a song we can hum and in extreme circumstances whistle along to too.
