The Fourth Wall – Never A Part

We’re hit hard over the head such is the swathe of noise that opens ‘Never a Part’ from the Fourth Wall’s LP ‘Return Forever’. They have their tender side too it must be said, still what I took away from it was that it is the incandescent noise that they feel most comfortable with engaging in. The song sure does take time to reveal itself but the longer it progresses the more we start to realise that we are indeed dealing with greatness, love that subtle quality and the hybrid of Deerhunter and Arcade Fire isms which results in not a single second of the piece wasted. Through the fog emerges an anthem of grandiose and heart swelling proportions. KH
