Wish Queen have won us over before and the early moments on ‘Grievances’ were of the kind to do likewise. You know the sort we go for, the jangle, the haunting backdrop and finally a singer Cleveland’s Grace Sullivan who knows how to evoke dreamy at a moment’s notice. The whole operation hangs together so effortlessly, a friction free piece of indie pop that is good for the soul. This is Wish Queen’s second single from her debut album ‘Saturnalia’ so there is no surprise that it fly’s skywards ever so gracefully. KH
