Blossoms feat. Findlay – To Do List (After The Breakup)

Oh my this ‘To Do List’ must be bulging because the way it careers into our lives with such abandonment we might have been glad of the breakup if this is collateral damage. The real joy for me is in the call and response, between Tom Ogden and Findlay, a bristling interaction that matches the rapid fire tempo and gives us yet more insight into how Blossoms are truly blooming with this record. Visceral and just alive with personality this coming together detailing the falling apart is just a boon for would-be beating hearts. Reminded me a lot of St. Etienne’s and Tim Burgess’ ‘I Was Born On Christmas Day’ for some reason. KH
