BenBen – Color Clouds

That string skedaddle at the beginning told us that BenBen are intent on doing their own thing alright and it is a persuasive package of sound that they deliver. Quite an orchestral backdrop too, a cinematic quality to the singing that is steeped in traditional folk so much so that it reminded me of home (West of Ireland) towards the end. If anything ‘Color Clouds’ is too short, would loved to have heard it develop even further but a quick retreat back to the start and it felt as if we had been swept up into something all-consuming. A short burst of genuine joy from Ben Wigler. KH
