wadfah – Come Around

Chang Mai’s wadfah have the charming box ticked that’s for sure so that gives ‘Come Around’ the license to work its way through all the tricks of the indie-rock trade and come back with a smile on its face. Yes this is the alternative but it’s also infused with a pop nous to ensure we can find plenty of melody amid the crashing guitars and general student anthem-in-waiting theatrics. Sweetness, but with that essential bite so ‘Come Around’ never gets close to icky. I can see it soundtracking a thousand teenage TV dramas before too long. KH
